In order to be able to work in Germany, there are certain requirements that you must first fulfill. We will explain to you how you can achieve your goal of gaining a foothold in Germany.
1. Diploma and professional license
A basic requirement for foreign nurses is the completion of a recognized nursing training course and the possession of a professional license in their home country. These documents are required to prove the equivalence of the training and the ability to practice the nursing profession in Germany.
2. Language level B1-B2
A sufficient level of language is essential to be able to work as a nurse in Germany. This ensures that nurses are able to communicate appropriately in both professional and everyday contexts.
B1 level
With a language certificate at B1 level, you can work as a nursing assistant in Germany during your adaptation measure.
B2 level
To work as a nursing professional, you must have a B2 level of German. If you have fulfilled all the requirements, you will receive a certificate. In some federal states, proof of having passed the adaptation measure is sufficient.
We will help you.
3. Professional experience (optional)
In principle, you do not need any work experience to be recognized as a nursing professional. If you can prove that you have important work experience in nursing, your identified deficits compared to the German training may be smaller. This shortens your adaptation measure. We would be happy to advise you on this.
In general, we recommend that you first gain professional experience in your profession. This will make it easier to get started in Germany.
4. Additional documents
The path to becoming a recognized nursing professional in Germany is complicated and bureaucratic. Necessary documents include your CV, university subject overviews, certificates of good conduct, etc. So that you don't have to worry about this, we will provide you with precise information.
